Review of The Accidental Duchess by Madeline Hunter

The fourth book in the series is as great as the first three.  She writes her stories at just the right pace.  She doesn't rush her characters through the story.  I love her prose and the lyrical style of her writing.  The Duke of Penhurst is back with Lydia Alfreton and they were both as strong willed as ever.  Lydia gets herself in trouble and Penhurst finds out and they make a deal, but she doesn't tell him that she is being blackmailed.  Penhurst tries to teach her a lesson about the choices that she makes and in the process they fall in love.  The plot is intriguing and surprising with lots of action and we get to revisit the characters from the first three books. I love her writing and own all 24 of her books.  For anyone who loves great historical romance this is the book for you.
