Reiew of Tempting Mr. Weatherstone by Vivienne Lorret

This is a wonderful Christmas novella.  Two people who grew up together and are best friends, Penelope and Ethan are comfortable with each other, but after Penelope's sister visits with her children she realizes that she wants something else in her life.  She decides she needs an adventure.  Ethan is set in his ways and enjoys the relationship that he has with Penelope, or so he thinks.  They have both been hiding their feelings for his each for years and it takes Penelope deciding to leave that makes Ethan realize he has always loved her.  A very sweet romance with a steamy love scene and a happily ever after.  I really enjoyed this novella and would recommend to all historical romance fans.

Review of Only Enchanting by Mary Balogh

I have been reading Mary Balogh's books for a long time and I have never been disappointed.  Mary writes Regency Romance like no other author.  Her books are quintessential Regency period.  She brings you into the time period with her wonderful descriptions of the lifestyle that is truly what historical romance should be.  Her stories are so deeply emotional, honest and heart warming.  Her characters are so human, they are vulnerable, strong, intelligent and flawed.  She always lets you see inside their hearts and souls, and you cannot help but fall in love with them and never want the story to end.  This book is part of The Surviors Club, a group of individuals who have been injured mentally and physically in the Napoleonic War.  Each one of them are fascinating and compelling and have obstacles that they must overcome.  This book features Flavian and Agnes, two individuals that have almost nothing in common.  Flavian sustained a head injury in the war that has left him with huge gaps in his memory, headaches and moments of uncontrolled rage.  Agnes is a young widow who was abandoned by her mother at a young age and has locked her heart away and does not want anything to do with love or passion.  This is a beautiful love story about two individuals who both have hardships to overcome to be happy and Mary writes a wonderful story that takes through their tragedies and triumphs to a amazingly satisfying ending.  This is a truly inspiring story that you must read!!

Review of Her Christmas Earl by Anna Campbell

There are some authors that look forward to reading the day the book is released.  Anna Campbell is one of those authors.  This Christmas Novella is beautifully written with wonderful romance that starts in the dressing room of a rakes bedroom with an innocent young lady on a mission to steal a letter that will bring scandal to her family.  Philippa Sanders is a sensible young lady who takes care of her mother and sister, runs their estate and generally fades into the background at all social gatherings. Blair Hume is a rich Scottish Earl who is avoiding all matchmaking mothers and scheming debutantes who are trying to get him to the altar.  The story opens with the two of them trapped together in his dressing room when he catches her in his room at a house party.  I won't give away anymore of the book because I don't do spoilers in my reviews.  You have to read this novella for yourself.  Anna's writing is captivating, her characters are compelling, enchanting and her plots are sophisiticated and entrancing.  Anna is an amazing and I love everything that she has ever written.  This is a great Christmas gift for anyone who loves historical romance.

Review of His Wicked Seduction by Lauren Smith

Another wonderful sensual Historical Romance by Lauren Smith.  This is the second book in The League of Rogues series and is even better than the first one, and that is saying alot.  Lauren writes exciting plots and amazing characters that enthrall you from beginning to end.  What I love most about her books are that there are so much more than just the two main protagonists, you get to know all the Rogues and they are all compelling, handsome, alpha males that will have their own books.  Her heroines are strong, fiesty females who are intelligent and know how to get their man!  Be prepared to read this book in one sitting, you cannot put it down once you start.  If you have never read a Lauren Smith Historical Romance you are missing one of the best in the business.  I guarantee that you will love it as much as I did!!!
