Review of When Good Earls Go Bad by Megan Frampton

An enjoyable read from start to finish.  Annabelle is a lovely young lady who runs an employment agency with two of her friends.  An Scottish Earl is in town for business and needs a housekeeper for a month, there is none available at the moment so Annabelle decides to take the position herself because it will look good for the agency to have an Earl as a client even if he is Scottish.  Annabelle is quirky, sweet, naive and has a past where she had been taken advantage of by a scoundrel.  But Annabelle is an optimist and does not let her past shape who she is.  Matthew, Earl of Selkirk is a serious minded man who takes his responsibilities seriously, his estate, his family.  He likes his life the way it is until he meets his new housekeeper. He never realized how much joy could come out of a person until he spends time with Annabelle.  This is a very sweet romance with some steamy love scenes.  Even though this is a novella, you really get to know Annabelle and Matthew well and the story moves along at a good pace.
