ARC Review of Lady Beresford's Lover by Ella Quinn

Vivian, Lady Beresford is newly widowed and is eager to leave the home that brought her only misery and go to London and start to enjoy her life again.  Her dead husband abused her mentally and physically, telling her that he could not stand the sight of her and was in love with his mistress and wanted nothing to do with her.  Vivian travels to London with her friend Silvia, who has her own love story in this book.

Rupert, Earl of Stanstead is looking for love.  His cousin, his parents, his friends all have found happiness in their marriages.  He is young, only 22 years old, but inherited his title young and a responsible land owner, sits in the House of Lords and has the respect of his fellow peers.  He meets Vivian and knows almost instantly that she is the one for him.  Now he just has to convince her.  Vivian has no self confidence, she is afraid to make her self vulnerable to another man and her ex husband told her she was ugly and deformed.  She decides before she settles down in a home by herself in the country that she is going to have an affair with Rupert, thinking that is all she is entitled too.  Rupert has other plans.

Ella Quinn knows how to write a story that will keep you reading long into the night.  Her characters are fascinating, funny, sweet and the love story is beautifully written with sensual scenes that are riveting.  I loved this book and enjoy Ella's writing very much.
