ARC Review of Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt

Another winner in the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth. I love the way Elizabeth writes. This is a story about redemption, forgiveness, breaking free of chains that have been forged by those who love you and seek to protect you from harm. Her love scenes are very sensual and steamy!!! Make sure you have a fan handy!!! If you have read the other books in the Maiden Lane series you will know the main characters in this book. Capt. James Trevillion is a former soldier who is hired by the Duke of Wakefield to protect the dukes younger sister who is blind. Phoebe Batten is tired of living in the over portective world that her brother has created for her. She doesn't like having a guard everytime she goes out, but her brother insists so Trevillion and two armed footmen are always with her when she goes anywhere. This book was full of action, adventure, love and most of all courage. Phoebe and Trevillion were made for each other. I might have shed a tear or two while reading this book and it was worth it. Do not miss it!!! Received an ARC for an honest review

Review of 50 Ways to Ruin a Rake by Jade Lee

I loved this story, it was a lighter side of Jade Lee.  I laughed out loud.  Trevor and Mellie have known each other their whole lives, but never saw each other as anything but acquaintances. Trevor was there is visit her father not her.  Trevor is a typical aristocrat but he is not deliberately snobbish, that's just the way his world is, and he has never really tried to change.  Mellie is a very intelligent young cit who can push back when she needs to.  She has the ability to see people as they really are.  When Trevor comes up with a plan to get his inheritance back and find a husband for Mellie she is reluctant, but goes along with the scheme of a false betrothal.  They go to London and the fun begins.  As the days go along Trevor realizes that he is fascinated by Mellie.  This is a story about how love can sneak up on you without you knowing it until what you thought you never wanted is all that you want.  Loved this story!!!  Jade Lee knows how to write compelling and sensual books.  Received an ARC for an honest review.

ARC Review of The Unlikely Lady by Valerie Bowman

First let me say how have I not read this author before? She is a fabulous writer. Valerie knows hot to capture your attention! Her characters have amazing depth. They are intelligent, funny, damaged and have a moral core that makes them lovable. Jane and Garrett make a great couple, only they don't know it. Whenever they meet its like cats and dogs. they snap at each other, insults fly. They really don't like each other, or do they? I loved the back and forth between them. Lots of sexual tension, friends scheming to get them alone together makes for a great plot. Add in in a villianess who wants Garrett for herself and will do anything to have him and you have a book that you cannot put down. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves their HAE and laughter in their stories.

Received ARC for honest review.
