ARC Review of The Lady Hellion by Joanna Shupe

This is the third book in the series Wicked Deceptions. I enjoyed all three of them and I have to say that Quint was my favorite. He is not the typical romance hero. he doesn't care about the way he dresses or that he is very intelligent and is not afraid to let people know he has a brain and knows how to use it. Sophia is a stubborn, brave. reckless young lady who is putting herself in danger to help find a killer. In the second book in the series Quint gets injured and almost dies. He does not know that Sophia is the one who nursed him back to health. Quint now has a new problem he is trying to deal with while trying to keep Sophia out of trouble. There is a past between Quint and Sophia that I do not want to give away. There is plenty of mystery, suspense and action in this book. Since Quint is an intellectual the sex scenes are explicit and educational. The plot moves at a great pace and I read this book in one night. I really enjoyed this series and hope she starts on a new one soon.

Review of For Love of the Duke by Christi Caldwell

I must have been living in another world because I have never read a book by Christi Caldwell.  All I can say thank goodness I found her writing.  I loved this book!  Her writing is beautiful, lyrical, smart, and funny.  This book is about a Dark Duke that has locked himself away in his castle for years until a friend talks him into going to London.  There he meets Lady Katherine and all he believed about himself is turned upside down.  She is full of life and love and she wants to make him happy and bring joy and love back into his life.   I will admit that I cried a couple of times.  The love that pours out of this book is amazing.  Christi is an amazing writer and I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series and everything she has ever written.

ARC Review of Love in the Time of Scandal by Caroline Linden

I have always been a big fan of Caroline Linden, and have read almost all of her books.  The story opens with the heroine Penelope Weston sitting with the wallflowers and spinsters at a ball, and wishing she was anywhere else.  In walks the hero Benedict Lennox, Lord Atherton, the man who was engaged to Penelopes sister Abigail.  When Penelope finds out he is looking for another bride she sabotages his chances.  Benedict is furious and goes looking for Penelope and rescues her from being raped by a nasty lord.  When the scandal breaks Penelope and Benedict have to decide how to make it go away.   I loved this book from the first page.  The plot is intriguing and there is lots of secrets, there are sensual love scenes that will leave you breathless.  Carolines writing is captivating and addictive. This is a keeper and now I have to get the other in this series that I haven't read yet.  Do not miss Caroline Linden's books!!!
