Review of THe Unforgettable Hero by Valerie Bowman

Cece Harcourt  is a young lady who has the responsibility of taking care of her ailing younger sister and trying to avoid marriage to her repulsive cousin.  She has just finished her first romance novel and is trying to sell it to so she can get the medicine her sister needs and avoid marriage.  On her way home from a disappointed meeting with her publisher she gets hit by a carriage while crossing a street.  Adam Hunt is a independent young man who is tired of being coddled by his two older brothers.  He is his own man and is on his way to let his older brother the Duke to stop interfering in his life.

He is on hand when Cece gets hit and takes her to his brothers house. When she wakes up she thinks she is the heroine of her romance novel and Adam is her betrothed The Duke of Loveridge.    The doctor tells Adam that her memory would probably return and do not push her, she will eventually regain her memory.

As she regains her memory she realizes that Adam is her only chance at learning what it is like to be a woman who can be make her own decisions, then she will go back home to marry her cousin and take care of her sister.

This was a really sweet romance that was witty and lighthearted read.  I enjoy Valerie's writing and would recommend this book for a first time Historical Romance Reader as well as a veteran reader of this genre.

Received complimentary copy for an honest review.
