ARC Review of The Study of Seduction by Sabrina Jeffries

The second book in the Sinful Suitors Series was a very enjoyable read.  The heroine, Clarissa  is a young lady who is beautiful, willful, reckless and absolutely does not want to marry.  She is hiding a what she thinks is shameful  secret and thinks no man will want her. Our hero Edwin is a Gentleman who has taken care to avoid committing to any woman because of how his parents marriage scarred him, his brother and his younger sister.

Clarissa is being stalked by a Frenchman who doesn't want to take no for an answer.  Her brother is in exile and she doesn't have anyone to protect her. Edwin and Clarissa have known each other for a long time and the only way to protect her is to marry her.  The mystery is why the Frenchman is being so persistent even after they are married.

This is a book that has adventure, mystery, and two people who have always depended on themselves and somehow have to figure out how to make their marriage work and solve the mystery.  The plot moved at a great pace, the characters are wonderful and have great depth and of course the love story is sweet and steamy.  Really enjoyed this book.

Received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
