Review of The Beast of Clan Kincaid by Lily Blackwood

This is my first read of a Lily Blackwood/Lily Dalton novel and I have to say that I enjoyed it.  I really love Scottish Historicals, especially when they have brawny, good looking Highlanders wearing kilts.  The historical facts in this book are interesting and Lily's descriptions of Scotland and the Highlands make you feel like you are there.

This is a story of the treachery that was a way of life in Scotland at the time.  Clan loyalty is the one of the practises of the time and this story shows how betrayal, murder, revenge and redemption can effect the lives of not only the inhabitants of the castle but all the members of the clan..  Niall and Elspeth are both strong people who should be mortal enemies but they are attracted to each other.  Will Elspeth be able to forgive Niall for the Revenge he has sworn against her clan?  This is a powerful love story of two individuals who can only do what their hearts tell them and hope fate will be kind.

I enjoyed Lily's writing and look forward to her next novel.
Received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
