Review of A Duke to Remember by Kelly Bowen

First I would like to say that this book will make you cry tears of sorrow and joy.  Kelly writes a beautiful story about two people who are truly meant to be together and you can actually feel their connection.

Ellie DeVries is a part time actress and full time investigator for Chegarre & Associates.  A business that helps mitigate or completely erase scandals and helps fix all kinds of problems that could ruin a person or family.  The Duchess of Ashland has been committed to Bedlam and her daughter Lady Abigail hires Ellie to find her brother the Duke of Ashland who the world believes died at age 10.  But Abigail insists that he is alive and is the only one who can stop her diabolical cousin, Francis Ellery from claiming the Dukedom for himself.

Noah Lawson is a gentleman by birth and temperament.  He is funny, hardworking and handsome.  He is his own man and does not want anyone to know who he really is.   When Ellie arrives in Nottingham to start her search for Noah Ellery she saves a young boy from drowning and is pulled out of the water by the most beautiful man she has ever seen.  She cannot believe that the man she has just started looking for is the same man.    They are immediately attracted to each other and have never had these feelings before.  It is electric and enthralling.

This is where it all gets complicated.  Noah's life changed at the age of 10.  He was ripped from his childhood and thrown into a hell that no child should have to ever endure.  What is worse is that his parents were the ones who put him there.  When he escapes five years later he vows never to go back and makes a new life for himself in a small village where no one knows who he is.

I do not write spoilers in my reviews.  Believe me when I say you are going to want to read this book.
Everything about Kelly's writing is exceptional in every way  and she is now one of my favorite authors and I will make sure to always read her books.
