Review of A Gentlman Never Tells by Eloisa James

Having read everything Eloisa James has written I can only say that she has done it again.  I love that this novella has it's roots in the Essex Sisters novels.

Oliver has grown up and become an honorable gentleman who has fallen in love with the most unlikely woman.  Lizzie is a virgin widow who was sold into marriage by her merchant father for a title.  Now her pig of a husband is dead and all she wants is to be left alone with her Gothic novels.

But her sister Cat has different plans for Lizzie.  Cat wants her sister to be happy and challenges Oliver to make her laugh again.  I can tell you that I laughed at all the witty, funny banter.  Oliver is the perfect person to bring Lizzie out of her self inflicted isolation and to reenter the world.  This was a wonderful, affirming story of love, laughter and HAE's.

I enjoyed this novella very much.

Received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
