Review of This Earl is on Fire by Vivienne Lorret

An amazing new novel by Viv Lorret.  This is the second in the Season's Original Series. I loved that Viv made Adeline slightly impaired with one leg shorter due to a complication at birth.  Her parents have always protected her and she is ready to stretch her wings and go to London for a Season.  She has lived in the same village her whole life and cannot wait to start her adventure.

Liam Cavanaugh is the Earl of Wolford.  He is rich, handsome and a connoisseur of ancient artifacts.  He is also a first class hedonist who lives a charmed life.

The first morning after Adeline and her parents arrive at the town house they are renting in London they find a badly beaten Gentleman at their front door.  Of course they have no servants because the carriage that was carrying them broke down on the way to London.  But being from the country they are capable of helping take care of the injured Gentleman without any help.

When Liam wakes up he is in excruciating pain, disoriented and cannot see.  He doesn't remember what happened to him.  All he knows is that there is a woman who has a voice that draws him back from the nightmare of pain and darkness.

Adeline and Liam are both fascinating characters that would never have encountered each other in their lives.   Liam doesn't plan on getting married for another 30 years at least and Adeline does not want to be coddled and pitied.  She just wants to have some adventure before she goes back to the country to live out her life.

An outstanding historical romance with wonderful characters and a captivating plot with a surprising twist and harrowing adventure for Liam and Adeline.  A beautiful love story.

Cannot wait for the next book in the series.
