ARC Review of My Brown-Eyed Earl by Anna Bennett

Anna Bennett is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this first novel in a her series called "The Wayward Wallflowers".

This is a story of a young lady who with her sisters have been living with their eccentric Uncle.  Meg and her sisters are trying to keep themselves out of the poorhouse by trying to limit their beloved Uncle's poor financial decisions.

Meg decides to take a position as a Governess to help with expenses.  Unfortunately the Lord who needs a Governess for his nieces is the one who precipitated the decisions that led to her parents death.  She accepts the position to help her sisters and uncle, but she is afraid that she is accepting for an entirely different reason.

Lord Torrington is a handsome, intelligent, honorable gentleman who promised his cousin that he would look after his nieces if anything happened to him.  Well now he has two 6 year old twin girls and he has no idea what to do with them.  When he interviews a candidate for governess he has no idea it is with the woman that he was supposed to be engaged to years ago and has never understood why she fascinated him.  He now has her in his home and is going to explore his feelings for her.

This was a very well paced story that kept me interested and delighted throughout the whole book.
Her writing is a joy to read with a lyrical and clear voice.
