Review of Gentlemen Prefer Heiresses by Lorraine Heath

Book 4.5 of The Scandalous Gentlemen of St. James.  Lorraine has written a novella that reads like a full-length novel.  This story is about Rexton's younger brother and Tillie's younger sister.

Lord Andrew Mabry is the spare.  He lives on an allowance and does what he wants and has no responsibilities to speak of.  He has no intention of ever marrying.  He is an expert at loving and leaving the ladies.

Miss Virginia Hammersley is an American Heiress who wants to fall in love and marry.  The only problem is that she is attracted to her sister's brother-in-law Andrew.  She knows that he is not the marrying kind but she can't stop thinking about him.  Andrew seems to have the same problem.  The more time they spend together makes it harder to remember that their lives are supposed to go in opposite directions.

This is classic Lorraine Heath.   A wonderful story of two people who know what they want out of life until they meet.   This plot is engaging and charming.  Gina and Andrew are amazing characters that you will love from the beginning.  There is no angst and misunderstandings that you sometimes find in romance novels, just a well-written love story that you will enjoy  I have read all 45 of her books and loved them all.  I purchase all of Lorraine's books in print form so I can save them and go back and read them over and over again.
